• Property information: Property address, school district, property type, assessed value, annual tax bill, estimated market value, purchase price, year purchased, purchase terms, and any notes you provide
• Payment information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details. Stripe handles all payment processing and is PCI-DSS compliant.
• Electronic signature: Your drawn or typed signature on the authorization form
• Reference number: A unique identifier assigned to your case

We may also collect standard website usage data such as browser type, IP address, and pages visited through our website hosting provider.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• File your property tax grievance application with the appropriate county authority
• Research comparable sales and build your case
• Communicate with you about the status of your case
• Respond to your questions and requests
• Process your payment and issue refunds if applicable
• Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
• Improve our services

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share your information only as necessary to provide our services:

• Nassau County ARC: We submit your name, property address, and authorization to the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission as required to file your grievance.
• Suffolk County town BAR / SCAR: We submit your name, property address, authorization, and case materials to the applicable town Board of Assessment Review and, if necessary, New York State Supreme Court for SCAR proceedings.
• Stripe: Payment information is processed by Stripe, Inc. Their privacy policy governs how they handle payment data.
• Airtable: We use Airtable as our internal case management database. Your case information is stored in our private Airtable base.
• Service providers: We may share information with other service providers who assist us in operating our business, under confidentiality agreements.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. Our website uses SSL encryption (HTTPS). Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. Access to our case management system is restricted to authorized personnel only.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal and property information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. For active cases, we retain records throughout the grievance process (which can span 12–24 months for Suffolk County SCAR cases). We may retain records for up to 7 years after case resolution for tax, legal, and business purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention requirements
• Withdraw your authorization at any time by contacting us in writing (note: withdrawal after filing may affect your case)
