Terms of Service

These Terms govern the property tax grievance services provided by GrieveItNow, a trade name of LI Grievance Services LLC.

Effective date: October 12, 2026

Plain-English summary: You pay one $99 flat fee for GrieveItNow to research, prepare, and file your Nassau County administrative assessment grievance. We do not charge a percentage of savings, and we cannot guarantee that ARC will reduce your assessment or taxes.

1. The service

GrieveItNow provides property research, grievance preparation, representative authorization administration, filing, and related client communications for Nassau County administrative assessment review before the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission ("ARC"). Unless we separately agree in writing, the $99 service does not include judicial proceedings, court appeals, appraisal reports, exemption applications, tax-return preparation, legal representation, or other services outside the administrative grievance process.

2. Current filing cycle

The website is currently configured for the 2028/29 Nassau County assessment cycle. The currently published filing window is January 4, 2027 through March 1, 2027. Government agencies may change dates, forms, procedures, or requirements. Official Nassau County notices control if they differ from information on our website.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide complete and accurate information, to have authority to request the service for the property, and to respond promptly when we request information, supporting documents, or a signature. You must review the property, parcel, ownership, relationship/capacity, and authorization information presented to you and tell us promptly if anything is incorrect.

You are also responsible for completing any required authorization or supporting-document step early enough for us to complete the filing. If required information or authorization is not provided in time, we may be unable to file before the deadline.

4. Authorization and electronic records

If GrieveItNow will act as your representative, you agree to complete the authorization process presented to you. You consent to our creation and retention of electronic records relating to your authorization, including your drawn signature, signer-entered date, audit information, and generated authorization document, to the extent needed to provide and document the service.

5. Fee and payment

The service fee is $99. GrieveItNow does not charge a percentage of any assessment or tax savings. Payments are processed by Stripe.

6. Refund policy

Because research and administrative work may begin promptly after payment, the $99 service fee is generally non-refundable once work begins. This policy does not limit any refund or other right that cannot legally be waived. If GrieveItNow determines that it cannot provide the purchased service, we may cancel the engagement and issue an appropriate refund or other remedy. No refund is owed merely because ARC denies a grievance or because the resulting tax savings are smaller than expected.

7. No guaranteed result

ARC, not GrieveItNow, decides whether an assessment will be reduced. We do not promise or guarantee a reduction, a particular assessment, a particular amount of savings, or any other outcome.

An assessment reduction also does not necessarily mean that your total property-tax bill will decrease by the same percentage—or at all—because tax rates, levies, exemptions, district charges, and other factors can change independently of the assessment.

8. Information and third-party systems

We may rely on government records, public property data, sales information, mapping/address services, payment providers, email providers, hosting services, and other third-party systems. Those systems and records can contain errors, experience outages, or change without notice. We will use reasonable care in providing the service, but we do not control third-party systems or government decisions.

9. Communications

You consent to receive service-related email, telephone, and text-message communications at the contact information you provide. These communications may include requests for information, authorization links, filing updates, deadline reminders, and service-status notices. Message and data rates may apply to text messages. Service-related communications are not a separate marketing subscription.

10. No legal, appraisal, or tax-advisory engagement

GrieveItNow is a property tax grievance filing service and is not a law firm or appraisal firm. Information on the website and communications about the grievance process are provided for general informational and service-administration purposes and are not legal advice, an appraisal, or tax-return advice. The fact that a GrieveItNow founder is a Certified Public Accountant does not convert this grievance service into an audit, attest, tax-return, or other accounting engagement.

11. Duplicate or conflicting representation

You agree to tell us if you have already filed a grievance for the same assessment cycle or appointed another representative for the same property and cycle. Conflicting or duplicate filings can interfere with the service and may require us to pause or stop work.

12. Suspension or termination

We may decline, pause, or terminate service if we reasonably believe information is inaccurate, required authorization or documentation is missing, a filing would violate applicable rules, another representative has conflicting authority, or circumstances make the service impracticable. Any refund, if applicable, will be handled under the Refund Policy above and applicable law.

13. Website content

Resource pages, calculators, examples, checklists, filing dates, and other educational material are provided to help homeowners understand the process. They are not a guarantee that the same facts, procedures, or results will apply to every property or future filing cycle.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service, filing requirements, or applicable law changes. The Terms in effect when you purchase the service will govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or you agree otherwise.
